Through Targeted Mobility Scheme you can apply for financial support.

You can apply for financial support if you are:

  • Age 18 or older. However, if you are 35+ please visit Work In Denmarks' website for further information on Targeted Mobility Scheme age group 35+.
  • Citizen of another EU country, Norway or Iceland
  • Legally a resident in an EU country, Norway and Iceland and applying for a job in another EU country, Norway or Iceland

It is an EU mobility project that aims to match employers with hard to fill vacancies with skilled candidates across Europe. Targeted Mobility Scheme is open to jobseekers and to employers (focus on SMEs) from an EU country, Norway or Iceland.

 

It is obligatory to have contact with your local  EURES Adviser in order to apply for the project. Remember to find both country and region. Choose between Hovedstaden – Midtjylland – Nordjylland – Sjælland – Syddanmark.

Mobility and sustainable recruitment

The project supports European mobility and sustainable recruitments with fair working conditions. The project cannot support employment within businesses with high turnover or with one or more days of unpaid trial work/training before employment or which offers only commission with no fixed wages.

Support for a job interview

Through "The Targeted Mobility Scheme" you can apply for financial support for a job interview in another EU country, Norway or Iceland and if you are invited by an employer. The financial support is varying from around EUR 100-350 according to distance, also including a daily subsistence allowance of EUR 25. However, if the actual costs for travelling etc. is substantially lower than the above amount then the support may be reduced accordingly.

  • The employment is  for a minimum of six months and the working hours must be at least 50 percent of a normal working week with wages and work conditions in accordance with national labour market law and praxis, such as collective agreements or minimum wage.
  • You can also get a paid interview trip within your country of residence if it is for recruitment towards a job in another EU country, Norway or Iceland and if you have a considerable travel distance. (50-250 km)
  • You can only receive paid travel from "Targeted Mobility Scheme", from the employer or another project or authority. 

How to apply before the jobinterview

The application must be submitted to Targeted Mobility Scheme Denmark latest the day before the interview takes place. The project verifies all information given by jobseekers and employers.

  1. Complete the application form, print and sign it. You can find the form by clicking on the following link: "Interview allowance application"
  2. Attach a copy of: your passport, travel documents/bookings, qualification/diploma or CV, job vacancy, account statement that shows that you are the holder of the bank account. Send it via this link.
  3. Attach a document from the employer confirming the invitation to the job interview eg. an e-mail.
  4. Scan the application and the document from the employer confirming the invitation to the job interview and send it via this link.

After attending the job interview

  1. Send the confirmation of your attendance at the jobinterview: You can find the form by clicking on the following link: "Confirmation of attendance job interview".
  2. The employer completes the application form, print, sign it and scan. Send it via this link.

Support for relocation

When you have been offered a job

You can apply for financial support if you relocate to another EU country, Norway or Iceland to start a new job.The support covers costs towards travel and temporary accommodation during your first stay in the country. The support is a flat rate consisting of a max amount according to country of destination. However, if the actual costs for travelling etc. is substantially lower then the support may be reduced accordingly.

  • The employment is  for a minimum of six months and the working hours must be at least 50 percent of a normal working week with wages and work conditions in accordance with national labour market law and praxis, such as collective agreements or minimum wage.
  • You can only receive paid support from "Targeted Mobility Scheme", or from the employer or another project or authority.
  • That you do not apply for or accept a job which entails that you are employed in one country and posted in another country.
  • The financial support cannot be paid retroactively and you cannot apply after you have moved to your new country to work.

Please note that you will be obliged to reimburse the whole amount if you do not start your new job or if you leave your job before 6 months, and if you do not have a duly motivated and lawful reasons to do so. If that happens please inform us immediately.

How to apply

You must apply for financial support before you leave your country and before the starting date of your new job. You can send in your application even if you have not yet received your employment contract. 

  1. Complete the application form, print, sign it and scan. "Relocation allowance application".
  2. Attach a copy of: your passport, travel documents/bookings, qualification/diploma or CV, job vacancy, account statement that shows that you are the holder of the bank account.
  3. Send all of the above via this link.

Also, the Targeted Mobility Scheme will ask the employer to send in a Confirmation of employment no later than 4 weeks after the first day of work. Any financial support cannot be granted until we have received the Confirmation of employment from the employer. 

Support for recognition of qualifications

You may also be entitled to receive additional financial support to cope with costs required to move and work in another EU country, Norway or Iceland, as specified hereunder. 

Targeted Mobility Scheme makes an individual assessment based on your application. The support is a flat rate consisting of a max amount according to actual costs.

The decision cannot be appealed.

Recognition of qualifications

If you have got a job, been pre-selected or have good chances of finding a job in another EU country, Norway or Iceland and based on a need to have your academic and/or professional qualifications recognized in your new country of work, you may qualify for financial support towards the costs incurred. The costs incurred with the recognition of qualifications may include: certified copies and/or translations, administrative proceedings, supervised practices (or trainings) and/or aptitude tests. You may claim reimbursement of actual declared costs after submission of the recognition request to the competent clarification body.

These support measures are provided on the basis of reimbursement of actual costs and must in all circumstances be duly motivated. Please note that your application has to be approved by the project before you start your proceedings of recognition.

Support for a language course

You may also be entitled to receive additional financial support to cope with costs required to move and work in another EU country, Norway or Iceland, as specified hereunder.

Support to attend a language course

If you have got a job or have been either pre-selected or have good chances of finding a job in another EU country, Norway or Iceland, and have a need to attend a shorter language course in order to facilitate your work, you may be eligible to apply for support. Please note that we need to approve your application before you start your course. A claim for reimbursement of actual declared costs should be submitted after completion of the course, with documentary evidence such as course certificate and a written receipt.

Support for supplementary relocation allowance

You may also be entitled to receive additional financial support to cope with costs required to move and work in another EU country, Norway or Iceland, as specified hereunder. 

If you experience extraordinary travel costs you may qualify for a supplementary trip allowance covering cost for interview trips and/or relocation trips. Reimbursement of declared costs up to max EUR 500.

The Targeted Mobility Scheme makes an individual assessment based on your application. The decision cannot be appealed.

It is obligatory to receive mobility services from EURES/PES in order to apply for the project.

Supplementary relocation allowance

If you have been offered a job in another EU country, Norway or Iceland with the support of Targeted Mobility Scheme and have special needs, you may qualify for a supplementary relocation allowance. You may have disabilities and/or come from a disadvantaged social/economic background or be facing temporary economic difficulties. The supplementary allowance could be to cover the transportation of a wheelchair or a guide-dog, the travel cost of accompaniment or other duly justified need.

If you are travelling from the outermost regions/peripheral regions of Europe and experience extraordinary travel costs you may also qualify for this support. The allowance should help you to cope with extraordinary costs immediately before and/or after moving to another EU country, Norway or Iceland.
